So proud of you!! You know...YAY for the big loss!!! So proud of you!! You know I love the Biggest Loser too because I love watching people identify something negative in themselves and work their asses off learning to change it. And yes, it's way over-the-top. Seriously, they obsess about how many calories are in a tablespoon of olive oil they will cook with. And weight loss is their entire focus for the time being, which isn't reality or even healthy on one hand. But what you're doing is making the same lifestyle changes, while not obsessing about them, and incorporating it into your reality. It's just as inspiring without all the unrealistic fluff. First let me tell you how much I LOVE rea...Whitney-
First let me tell you how much I LOVE reading your blog! Becca sent me the link the other day and I've spent the last three days reading it whenever I can so I could get caught up! It motivates me to keep going with my weight-loss/healthy-lifestyle journey and I can really relate to most everything that you say! It's so comforting to know I'm not the only one with these struggles and this insane love for food. I have comments for many of the posts I've read so get ready for me to back-track and post on them!

Secondly, I LOVE weight-loss success stories. They're like my cocaine. I love watching them on tv or reading them in magazines and will often buy magazines just for those stories. My boyfriend (Ross) and I DVR The Biggest Loser and Heavy every week and we just watch in awe. Ross is a personal trainer at 24-Hour Fitness and his thoughts on the large quantities of weight that they lose on the show are this: when you're THAT big, your body wants to get rid of the fat and will do it quickly if you let it. 1,200 calories a day is really enough to sustain them because they have so much extra fat on their bodies to use as fuel. His only complaint about the show is that they don't seem to show the contestants proper form when performing exercises. I remind him that the show is entertainment, not instruction, and they could be doing it behind the scenes and we don't know it. 20 lbs a week is not realistic for someone who has a job and a life and can't be done in a healthy way. 2 pounds a week is the way to go! :)

I'm so proud of you for really working the program this week and losing 3.6 -- that is so fantastic! Good luck this weekend!Chasityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05234082199839718891noreply@blogger.com
